Hamilton Zinefest 2015

After an epic debut last year, Hamilton Zinefest returns for another glorious and chaotic year.

There’ll be hundreds of zines on display, and workshops by clever people on the art of small press and self-publishing. Mr Miltons canteen will be open for your masticatory pleasure.

Zines are self-published works made by artists, poets, journalists, comic-makers, activists, music-fans or anyone that has anything to say about something that interests them. Expect labour-of-love publications on paper covering poetry, comics, art, music-journalism, political fury, and much more…

Workshops as follows:
10.30am: Makyla Curtis, QUESTION YOUR TEASPOONS: AN EXPERIMENTAL POETRY WORKSHOP
11.30am: Sam Orchard, TELLING OUR STORIES
12.30pm: Indira Neville / Rae Joyce, THREE WORDS
1.30pm: Adrian Kinnaird, JOURNEY
2.30pm: Bryce Galloway, A HISTORY OF NZ ZINE CULTURE

From 8pm join us at Nivara Lounge (Basement, 266 Victoria Street) for the official Hamilton Zinefest 2015 after-party. This years line up includes:
THE NEW MILLENIUM BEATNIKS
ANCIENT TAPES
HOLLOW GRINDERS
Best of Fest will also be announced at this event so come along!

Heck yeahs!
